Full-Time Construction Manager
Habitat for Humanity of Winchester-Frederick-Clarke is now seeking a full-time Construction Manager. This position will assist the Director of Construction with managing the Affiliate residential home building program, and by providing safety oversight. Additional responsibilities include working with contractors, obtaining permits, working with established crew leaders and volunteers at multiple work sites, and maintaining inventory of the Affiliate’s tools and equipment.
The Construction Manager must have a minimum of 5 years' prior experience in building construction and knowledge of building codes. Must possess a thorough understanding of construction safety, including OSHA standards, and be willing to foster a culture of safety within the organization. Applicant should have experience with green building.
Position requires the ability to work well with a diverse group of volunteers and homeowners, skilled and unskilled, utilizing strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license with good driving record, and graduation from high school or achieved GED certification, required. Full-time, exempt position at 40 hours/week. Standard work schedule ranges from Tuesday through Saturday.
